SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability, facility upkeep, and production efficiency. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality.

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability, facility upkeep, and production efficiency. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Must have good analytical skills, able to troubleshoot and make on the spot corrections to emergency conditions
- Able to climb stairs and ladders and stairs and work safely at elevated heights of 200ft. and Confined Space
- Knowledge of fabrication, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, power transmission, and pneumatics, welding and cutting are necessary.
- Light Industrial Electric required, Hydraulics, Power Transmissions, and Pneumatic; basic computer knowledge; previous feed mill exp desired.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Special projects and/or other related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
- Safety, inventory and maintenance processes and procedures
- Computer systems to create spreadsheets is a plus
- Technical and mechanical systems related to operation
Ability to:
- Maintain high quality control standards
- Effectively problem-solve, supervise, and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Work flexible hours, including on-call availability, overtime, and rotating weekends
Technical Skills & Experience
- Proficiency using a variety of hand and power tools to perform maintenance duties, including but not limited to:
- Welding (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Automotive and Forklift Maintenance
- Packaging Equipment
- Pumps and Compressors
- Instrumentation and Electronics
- Machining
- PLCs
- HVAC
- Equipment Rebuilding
- Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- General Building Repairs
- Programming and Operating Robots
- Operating Batching Computers
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance, service, or operation
- Follow written and verbal instructions as assigned by department supervisor or lea
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a feed mill, industrial, or production environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Occasional keyboard use and sitting for extended periods
- Occasional bending, squatting, and lifting up to 55 pounds
- Frequent reading, close-up work, decision-making, and concentration
- Frequent exposure to noise
- Occasional climbing of stairs and ladders up to 200 feet while working in confined spaces
- Work performed in outdoor and industrial environments with exposure to loud machinery
- Some duties performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Position may require work outside normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation
- Occasional travel to other company locations
